Fill Him With Wisdom

“See, I have called by name, Betzalel the son of Uri the son of Chur of the tribe of Judah. And I will fill him with the Spirit of the LORD, with wisdom, and with understanding and with knowledge...” (Exodus 31:2-4)

The Sages tell us that names have significance. They not only identify a person, but they tell us about a person and his qualities as well. The Hebrew name of Betzalel is a concatenation of two words, betzel, “with the shadow,” and e-l, “God.” With this knowledge, why was Betzalel named so?
