Certain distinguished members of the Church of England have recently published a memorial recommending celibacy for those engaged in the preaching of the Gospel. They say:
“Christianity was spread from the Apostles’ time not by married but by celibate missionaries.”
This has prompted a reader to solicit our opinion as to whether or not the Apostle Paul remained unmarried.
