Our colleague A.W. forwards a small item which he feels is worthy of a little niche and will amuse, if it does not interest some of our readers. The following little sum was circulating early in the year and Hitler’s phenomenal successes may be thought by some to lend confirmation to the scheme. We are to proceed as follows:—
To the letter A we are to attach the number 100, to B 101, to C 102, and so on as far as the letter T, the numerical equivalent of which will be 119. The fact that Hitler is manifestly the outstanding “beast” in the political arena at the present time, we simply extract in order the numerical equivalents of the letters in the name Hitler and reach a surprising result by summing up as follows:—
In fairness to A.W. we should say that he appends the note “This is not Revelation 13:18.”
