Michael

An article by P. E. White in the May 1945 Testimony claims that “Michael, one of the chief princes,” spoken of in Daniel 10:13, and “Michael your prince,” in Daniel 10:21, is the angel whose mission it is to champion the cause of the children of Israel.

All the “Michaels” in the Bible are humans or human agencies. Islip Collyer (Daniel and Christ) says that the Michael of Daniel 10:13 refers to Cyrus, king of Persia, and the Michael of Daniel 12:1 to the British nation.

“Michael” in Revelation 12:7 refers to Constantine, while “Michael the archangel” of Jude 1:9 was Moses, and “the body of Moses” in that verse referred to the children of Israel, who “were baptised into Moses in the cloud and in the sea,” and so became “the body of Moses,” in the same way as those who are baptised into Christ become “the body of Christ.” Notice how gently Moses said to Korah, Dathan and Abiram: “Even tomorrow the Lord will show who are His, and who is holy.” (Numbers 16:5)
