“God shall be at war with Amalek for all generations” (Exodus 17:16)
What is it about Amalek that is so important to remember and never forget? Why the adamant need to “obliterate the memory of Amalek from under the heavens,” to the extent that God fights this war in “all generations”?!
There are various practical and legal (halachik) reasons given for the significance of the war against Amalek.
