Temptations in Dramatic Terms

“Satan hath desired to have you.” (Luke 22:31)

Although this was apparently said to Peter, it is clear that the reference was to all the disciples. “Satan hath desired to have YOU (plural), that he may sift YOU (plural) as wheat.”
