The Gadarene Swine

Mark 5:1-19. How are the various details in this incident to be understood? Did “something” pass out of the man, and pass into the swine? If so, what? What is the origin, and the significance, of the words recorded in verse 7?

Many Bible students have found difficulty in deciding just how to understand this incident of the destruction of the Gadarene swine. On general Scriptural grounds we ourselves approach the record with a firm disbelief in the existence of demons.
