Carma Jolly: There is a sound that I will never forget. It’s a sound I make, but the thing is I’ve never heard it myself. That’s because when it comes out, I’m always unconscious in an epileptic fit.
Well, the thing is, just over a year ago I began having seizures. It has been diagnosed as epilepsy; but up until just very recently they’ve always been when I was at home alone, because I live alone, or they’ve been out in public, when I was alone out in public, like on a bus, or on the subway, or in the middle of the road. So I’ve really never been able to ask anyone what happens to me when I have a seizure. And so I have no idea how it happens. I’m completely gone.
