Question: In the book of Genesis (1:14) it seems to suggest that God made light before the sun and moon; He makes them in the 16th verse.
Answer: In the first and second verses of the first chapter of Genesis we have a record of the state of the earth before the creation days. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” We are not told the length of time it took to prepare the earth prior to the creation days.
