Marriage, Divorce and Remarriage

Most of the confusion concerning the question of divorce and remarriage comes from those who ignore the [cultural] context. It is important to remember that the New Testament cannot contradict the first (Old) Testament.

In Matthew 5:31-32 (KJV) we read:

It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
